What food can you give a 9mth old baby? What size portions should he be on?

Can you give me any recipes that you found helpful? Also should a 9 mth old baby bring up much of his bottle or food? It just seems that after a feed he brings alot of it up regardless what it is. Plus he doesnt sleep through the night anymore he wakes up quite a lot and doesnt sleep much during the day to make up for it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
