Dislocation with possible ligament/or tendon tears whats next?

i am 25 years old and i have recently re-injured my right pinky(previous dislocation X2). i went to the ER after work this morning(following nursing sups instructions) and was told that i have a dislocation with a possible ligament/or tendon tear as well. I have to follow up with ortho next week but my question is what will be done if there is a tendon tear. this is suspected because i am unable to bend my finger at all at the second joint, even after being numbed to rule out if it was pain causing the decreased ROM or the actual injury.... i am currently in a splint with support around my base knuckle and hand... also the swelling is NOT going down even a little despite icing and elevation, and i actually think it is getting worse rather then better... and at the base of my finger there is some numbness which i was ured is due to the swelling but thought i should mention it... thanks for all input and as i have said i have already been seen by ER docs and i am waiting to see ortho.
