Dying black hair to burgundy without stripping color..?

unfortunately I don't believe that you can get great results by something out of a box. Especially when your dealing with black hair and you want to go lighter. If I were you, I'd spend the the extra money and go to a salon and have them do it. They may need to strip the color, but you'll have to talk to them about it. Cause I dyed my hair dark brown once, and I wanted to go back to being blond, but not do it with stripping my color cause it would've taken too long. So what the lady did was put highlights in my hair. So maybe just do highlights for now. But I don't know your hair texture, it could be really damaging to your hair. You definitely need to consider that damage your gonna cost.
