Why India can score only one medal in the OLYMPICS???

Even the highest population country CHINA can stand in the top five in the medal tally...The glorius country can afford to get only one medal in the last Olympics... wat all steps can be taken to improve sports in India.. ?Is that the game CRICKET which gets all the big sponsers, which interupt the development of othr sports...?
