Can i claim exemption on house property?

I bought a plot of land in june 2010. I paid rs 25,000 as stamp duty. After construction of the house i paid vacant land tax of rs 15,000 and house tax rs 725. Can i claim exemption of rs 45725 as it is paid by way of tax to the state government? If yes under what section?
