What's with Sarah Palin's gles? ?

Read where she was nearsighted or myopic and had astigmatism. Saw some pictures later where she was wearing gles around 12 years of age? Any nearsighted person that was diagnosed as a young teen knows, you need constant increases in optical correction. Looking thru someone's gles, the eye gets smaller with nearsightedness, depending on the strength of correction. Also the side of the head or temples have an "indentation" when you look at the person wearing the gles. That's why people with pretty heavy myopia don't like their gles. It alters your appearance. Now to Sarah Palin. She's wore gles as a youngster. They say she's nearsighed or myopic? She has no indentation thru the glass at her temples? Maybe some astigmatism, but what's with this myopia? One of you optometry students please advise??
