Can you get the fences, roofs etc from a house even if you don't own the lot anymore?

i bought a foreclosed house and lot from a cooperative bank in the philippines recently.surprisingly, the house turns out to be pretty decent, with metal fence, a balcony etc. etc.i also found out that the relatives of the former owner are still living in the house.they are claiming that i have to pay them also for the enhancements they did to the property.naturally i refused.so they said if i wouldn't pay they will just removed the fence, the roof and take everything they can bring.my question is,1) is it legal to do such thing?? 2)do they have right to take things out of the house which lot now i legally own?? 3)do i really need to pay them??i would really appreciate if someone can help me.thanks in advance!
